PROJECT OVERVIEW

Su Tu Trang mine was discovered on November 19, 2003, located in the southeast corner of Lot 15-1 of the continental shelf of Vietnam, at a depth of 56m of water, about 62km from the mainland and about 135km from Vung Tau to the east. . According to the survey, the reserves of this field reach about 300 million barrels of crude oil and 3-4 billion m3 of gas.

On May 14, 2012, at the construction site of PTSC Lower Port, PTSC Marine Mechanical Services Joint Stock Company held a ceremony to launch, transport and install the Su Tu Trang mining rig’s superstructure by the company. Cuu Long JOC is the investor.

Konia Company has supplied the fire protection valve system (Fire Damper) of Trox Technik for the Su Tu Trang project.

PROJECT DETAILS

On November 15, 2012, Cuu Long JOC received the first gas flow from Su Tu Trang field. With the event of receiving the first gas flow from Su Tu Trang field in accordance with the approved plan, ensuring quality, safety and efficiency, the total production output of Block 15.1 has reached nearly 70,000 barrels of oil equivalent/day. The success of oil and gas exploitation at Su Tu field cluster Lot 15.1 has made an important contribution to supplementing the overall production output of the whole industry, accounting for 10.7% of 2016 production output of the whole Group. ensure national energy security. Total production in 2016 of the whole Oil and Gas Group reached 27.84 million tons of oil equivalent.
